The last two days have finally involved mowing: after weeks of little or no rain, we've finally received enough rain to allow the grass to grow. We're not flooded out, and we'll need more rain to keep it growing for much longer, but as for now, it's good.

Back from Cleveland; everything seems to have gone well. Medicine levels should start to be reduced in a few dats. I hope to be able to drive; the neurologist's ffice will be reviewing my status and likely will grant medical permission for me to drive...then it's up to the BMV.

About to leave for Cleveland for my seven-months-after-surgery appointment with my neurologist. If all goes as we hope, I'll start having my medicine levels reduced, and we'll learn the process for me to be able to drive. We'll see whether it really happens that way.

So long since I last posted, I know. I've not given up blogging :-) I've just been occupied with other things: a wedding, occasional lawnmowing, another wedding, and preparations to go to a third wedding. And I'm to be in one in December. How many people I do know who are getting married this year!

Since yesterday, I've been in the Pittsburgh area for Tony Mastris'/Bekah Troup's wedding. Tonight was Tony's bachelor party: dinner at an Outback Steakhouse, bowling, and ice cream — simply a great time of conversation between good friends. Had my first lobster (a bit expensive, but it's a special evening), bowled 115, and even met someone: the best man, who's a Cypriot whom Tony has known nearly all his life.
Yesterday was simple: Greyhound to Pittsburgh and getting fit in here (I'm staying with a family from Grace RPC, who are indeed being quite gracious!). Tomorrow should be a bit quieter: with nothing going on, I'll likely be spending a bit of time transcribing some early 19th-century documents for Synod's Church History Committee — the family have offered me the use of a bicycle, but the street are confusing enough here that I'd surely get myself lost, and I'd rather be productive than make them look for me! Saturday is the wedding, and I return home on Monday.
